William J. McLaughlin CFP®, ChFC, CLU

William "Bill" McLaughlin, educator, accomplished author, Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and President of McLaughlin Financial Group, has been helping area residents in all stages of life realize their retirement goals for more than 25 years. The McLaughlin Financial Group, based in Monmouth County, New Jersey, serves the tri-state area, providing comprehensive retirement and estate planning services.

Since he began his career in the financial services industry, Bill's goal has been to help clients retire with protected income, assets and legacies for their families. Now, almost three decades later, he has been able to help many clients retire comfortably, without concerns of depleting their retirement funds or falling victim to excessive taxes and fees that can quickly diminish retirement savings. As a wealth protection and preservation specialist, or "safe" money advocate, McLaughlin focuses on selecting investment strategies that are risk appropriate for the client and offer protection of the principal without hidden costs or future tax liabilities.

What separates McLaughlin's firm from others is Bill's approach to planning, derived from years of experience. He works at safeguarding funds that are earmarked for the retirement years with tax reduction methods, and by offering insurance to absorb some of the costs related to unplanned events such as a major illness, the need for extended medical care, or an unexpected death in the family. Bill has committed himself to offering his clients and community a greater depth of knowledge on multidisciplinary planning. Bill's interest in providing solutions and strategies for wealth accumulation, preservation and distribution have lead him to undertake professional training to earn the licenses and designations necessary to offering the best service available to his clients.

Bill, his wife and children live in Wall, NJ, where they enjoy the natural beauty of the New Jersey coastline. He is a graduate of Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, as well as a member of the Monmouth  University Gift Planning Committee. He obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations, and holds his series 7 and series 63 securities licenses.
